What to Expect During an Emergency Call

When you call our emergency line, you’ll speak directly with one of our veterinarians or receive a prompt callback. We’ll ask for your location, the horse’s vital signs and symptoms, and any relevant medical history. If appropriate, we’ll head to your farm immediately with the equipment and medications needed to assess and treat the issue.

During the visit, we will:

  • Perform a thorough exam and stabilize your horse

  • Communicate clearly about findings and treatment options

  • Administer medications, fluids, or wound care as needed

  • Refer to a hospital or specialist if advanced care is required

We’ll also provide you with detailed aftercare instructions and remain available for follow-up questions or rechecks.
