Dr. Derek Cavatorta founded Black Brook Veterinary Services to provide reliable, personalized care for horses. A Cornell-trained DVM and PhD, he’s especially interested in equine preventive medicine, emergency care, and evidence-based treatment.

Dr. Sara Cook, a Cornell graduate and co-founder of Black Brook Veterinary Services, blends clinical expertise with global experience. She’s especially focused on equine internal medicine, endocrine disorders, and helping horses thrive at every age.
Sarah Graboys
VMD
Dr. Sarah Graboys specializes in sports medicine, preventive care, and rehabilitation, and also offers acupuncture. A lifelong competitive and endurance athlete herself, she brings firsthand experience with performance and recovery to every patient she treats.
