Dr. Derek Cavatorta founded Black Brook Veterinary Services to provide reliable, personalized care for horses. A Cornell-trained DVM and PhD, he’s especially interested in equine preventive medicine, emergency care, and evidence-based treatment.

Dr. Sara Cook, a Cornell graduate and co-founder of Black Brook Veterinary Services, blends clinical expertise with global experience. She’s especially focused on equine internal medicine, endocrine disorders, and helping horses thrive at every age.
Victoria Duggan

Dr. Victoria Duggan, a graduate of the University of Guelph, has a strong background in equine sports medicine, lameness diagnostics, and emergency care, shaped by her early experience as a competitive rider.
