Dr. Vin is a graduate of the Large Animal Medicine residency program at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, and also a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM). His main clinical interests are emergency and critical care; neurological, gastrointestinal, and respiratory diseases; and diagnostic ultrasound. He runs a clinical ambulatory consulting service that offers specialized testing and complex work-ups to local veterinarians in New England.

Dr. Vin has presented in multiple international conferences and authored/coauthored articles that have been published in several scientific journals. In addition to having a busy clinical practice, he worked as the equine consultant for Idexx Laboratories for 6 years advising veterinarians across North America on all equine-related matters and now runs his own consulting service.

Consulting Service

Dr. Vin offers telephone consulting services across the United States and Canada. Services offered include laboratory results interpretation, case management, therapy consulting, and more. Members can call with any equine- or large animal-related question.

Clinical Ambulatory Consulting

Dr. Vin also provides ambulatory internal medicine consulting and workups across New England. This service is mostly based on referrals from veterinarians across New England who use Dr. Vin's help and expertise working up complex equine internal medicine cases and advanced diagnostics stall-side.

Emergency and Elective Clinic Visits

Dr. Vin is affiliated with the Myhre Equine Clinic in Rochester, NH. There, he routinely sees emergency and elective internal medicine cases, and also consults on hospitalized surgical cases.

Dr. Leah Limone is a board-certified equine dentist and diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC). A Massachusetts native, she received her undergraduate degree from UMass Amherst and earned her DVM from Michigan State University. After completing an internship in medicine and surgery at New England Equine Medical and Surgical Center, she entered general equine practice with a growing interest in dentistry. In 2018, she completed the AVDC’s formal equine dentistry residency and achieved board certification.

Equine Dentistry Services

At Northeast Equine Veterinary Dental Services, Dr. Limone’s approach centers on prevention and early intervention through routine exams and thoughtful care planning.

Services include:

  • Oral exams and routine floating
  • Periodontal therapy
  • Digital radiography and oral endoscopy
  • Basic and advanced extractions
  • Geriatric and young horse dental evaluations

Advanced Training & Certification

In 2010, Dr. Limone began pursuing advanced training through the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry (AVD), and later transitioned into the AVDC’s formal equine dentistry residency when it became available in 2014. After years of dedicated clinical work, research, and rigorous examination, she achieved diplomate status in 2018, one of only a small number of equine veterinarians in the U.S. with this distinction.

Leadership & Professional Involvement

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Limone remains deeply involved in advancing the field of equine dentistry. She is an active voice in both regional and national veterinary organizations and advocates for the recognition of equine dentistry as a critical component of equine wellness.

She currently serves on the AAEP Welfare and Public Policy Advisory Committee and is a longstanding member of the AVDS and MVMA, where she contributes to legislative and educational efforts aimed at improving veterinary care standards.
